This is where you’ll find the shiny new website of The Friends of St. Bart’s – as soon as it goes live. Membership subscriptions and events put on by Arts @ St. Bart’s raise money to help maintain the fabric of the magnificent Grade I listed building for the benefit of all.

To complement our Annual OPEN GARDENS event across the town, we're celebrating flowers and floral artistry in the magnificent setting of St. Bart's. Lots of gorgeous blooms and greenery in a host of beautiful arrangements.

Sunday: 1pm – 5.30pm

Monday: 9.30am – 5.30pm


St. Bartholomew’s (as St. Bart’s is formally known) is the parish church of Crewkerne, an historic market town on Somerset’s southern border. Often included in lists of the UK’s top church buildings, it attracts praise like this:

This year our popular annual event is part of an inaugural Plants & Gardens Festival in the town. For the first time, Crewkerne's two council-owned allotments are opening their gates.

Sunday's private gardens are zoned around Severalls Allotments and on Monday the private gardens are zoned around Bincombe Allotments. In another first, renowned international fine artist Robbie Innes will be painting en plein air in his garden throughout Monday afternoon. There will be Cream Teas on BOTH days available at East Street House in East Street.


Tickets are available outside the Town Hall in Market Square from 12.45pm on both days.

£5 per adult for one day. £7.50 per adult for both. Under 18s FREE.
